Does anybody know jewelry in Orange County ?

Does anyone know of some reputable jewelry discounters in the Los Angeles and/or Orange county areas? I've heard there's a jewelry mart in LA somewhere, but I don't know the location. heart-shaped diamond?

I'm thinking of buying a round, brilliant cut diamond. At the same time, the heart-shape appeals to me too (probably because I was born on valentine's day). I think the heart-shape is pretty, but fear its too cutesy or ticky-tacky and I'd tire of it, and that in the long-run I'd be happier with a more classic cut. So right now I'm leaning toward the round, brilliant cut diamond (and maybe one of these days will buy a heart-shaped amethyst, which is my birthstone). ...
