Yellow Gold Diamond Tennis Bracelet
Q.I am thinking of getting an amethyst bracelet for a girl whom is very dear to me. Her birthday is in february, but I figured I would look into it now. We are not in a real dating relationship, but she has been such a dear friend, I would like to get her this amethyst tennis bracelet. The thing is that 14K ones are very expensive, well relatively... Is it distasteful to give 10K jewelry as a gift? I am unaware of what people think if this. I would actually appreciate knowing in two cases, one, if I was giving to a girlfriend/wife, etc. and one for a girl whom is just a very close friend. I suppose for a true person of taste and culture, nothing less than 14k would do. But i am not sure. I just want to be a gentleman, not giving some junk that is really kind of tacky to give.
A.first of all, I just want to say I'd be glad to have a friend like you secondly, I can't speak for anyone else, but my boyfriend bought me a diamond ring (not an engagement ring size) set in 10K white gold for Valentine's day in 1999, and I love it just as much as I would if it were 14K! does that mean I am not a true person of taste and culture? :) perhaps 10K white gold looks better than 10K yellow gold though? just my opinion, I know it probably wasn't very helpful. one other thing....is this a girl that you'd like to be in a dating relationship with? if so, you might want to go for the 14K gold...as you said, some girls do prefer that. I'm just a freak.
