Triangular Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, Recommendation for Diamond Ring ?

A.I just went through the process and bought my ring at J.M. Edwards jewelers in Cary. Family run, top quality merchandise, good prices, and excellent service. Tell them that I said hi. If your purpose is to buy an engagement ring, consider giving her a Cubic Zirconia or even one of the C3 diamonds. Most gals won't take the ring to a jeweler to have it appraised anyway, and if the engagement breaks off without the marriage, you won't be out much money. To make it even more believable, go to one of the more expensive jewelry stores and buy just a ring box. Then, put the cubic zirconia ring in it, and she'll think it came from the expensive store. If she should start in on what the ring's value might be, what it cost, or how much it should be insured for, merely use an inkjet printer to forge some jewelry store's letterhead, and write up your own appraisal. That will satisfy 95% of the gals and the 5% who are still suspicious or want an independent evaluation would probably make miserable, non-trusting, wives anyway. I've found that after 10-15 years of marriage, the husband actually starts to become fond of his wife. By then, the chances of her skipping town with a shoe salesman are lessened, and she's usually pretty well saturated in housework, job and kids. This is the time to consider helping her "lose" the cubic zirconia you gave her for an engagement present. This is easiest to do when she removes the ring to do the dishes or to wash the baby. If you help her "lose" the ring, be sure to act hurt that she "cared so little about it." Then, after she's over the crying and apologizing, go and buy her one of the real diamonds from a divorce or death. The best deals on those can usually be found in pawn shops. By buffing the band at home with a cloth with either silver polish or toothpaste, and getting another box from a fancy jewelry store, she'll again think that she's getting something expensive. This will usually keep her happy.
