Real Diamond Necklace

Q.I saw a report on Dateline the other night about a lab that makes perfect diamonds. Supposedly a $5000 diamond will sell for $500. It's a surprise to me that this is new; I thought they had been making man-made perfect diamonds for years. Does anyone have any info on this? Does anyone know if they are available yet? If not, when?

A.I thought they had been making man-made diamonds for years. But not perfect diamonds. I also thought that the process is very expensive because of the high pressure they have to create in order to made the diamond. But then, these information is about 10 years old, so they could have improved the process to make it cheaper to create. I thought they had been making them (and perfect ones) for years.
