Most affordable diamond solitaire earrings?
Q.this is something I've wanted for a really long time... and now I'm thinking of finding a pair to aim for, and start saving... Where can one get an okay pair, maybe not the pair to satiate your whole life's need for diamond earrings, just something good enough to get me through my 20s... but still good enough quality that I'd probably still wear them sometimes, or pass them on to a daughter or niece? I don't like really obvious gold settings against the whiteness of a diamond... but I don't think I can afford platinum. Are there diamonds set in white gold?
A.I'm also a bay area resident and lover of diamonds.You are very lucky to live near S.F because there are great wholesalers tons of great places to buy quality stones at great prices.I get all my quality diamonds at a great savings. The place I go to is pretty close to Macy's(in that general area) .It is a huge place and since I can't think of the name,but anyone who works Near macy's can tell you which place it is. If you ask where the wholesale manufactor is that you get diamonds from Isreal they will be able to send you there..It is the only place in that area that has Dimonds fromIisreal.It is a big place that is on a corner so it is hard to miss.It even say on the outside of the building that their diamonds are from Isreal.If you'd like to email me I'll ask my Hubby the name of the place.I do know quite a bit about dimaonds and you you have to be cafeful to get earring that come with certification.Some wholesalers,like the one in front of the parking lot across the street from macys just buys their jewelry form other wholesalers and marks it up.They do not manufacture and design there own jewelry,therefore it is much more expensive.The place I go to cuts , manufactures their own diamond jewelry which gets you great stones at cheaper prices ,since the middleman is cut out.I saved near.ly a $1000 getting my Diamond solitare Pendant there.I checked at least 30 places before deciding .Besides Africa some of the finest The finest Diamond come from Belguim&Isreal.You cut out the middle man by shopping there and get great quality diamonds.If your intersted I also have a great jeweler on ebay that I have purchased over 11 pieces of jewelry from who ahs over 10,000 feedback he is great,but with diamonds I'd want to buy them in person. One thing I would NOT scrimp on is the setting. get it in the very best setting. HAve it set in high quality gold or platinum. I prefer platinum, but given its imperfect color (moissanite is equal in color to about an I-color diamond - looks great set, but side-by-side with a colorless diamond looks frankly yellowish. I have a small ring with an H-colored stone in a white gold setting, and it faces up just fine. But if I put it side-by-side with my E-color engagement ring set in platinum, it looks yellow in comparison), if I had moissanite I would consider getting yellow gold. I would have to see it both ways.
