Q.Anyone up for this? 1. My diamond flanked by two diamonds engagement ring. 2. My mother's simple pearl necklace. 3. An onyx, turquoise, mother of pearl pin with a design that looks like a fashionable woman's head with a big hat on (definitely a "you have to see it" piece).
A.Art deco is my favorite period for jewelry. Sometimes I cruise ebay for antique deco jewelry just to look at it and educate myself about it. The precision and symmetry of deco jewelry fascinates me. It's probably pretty easy to have the stone replaced on the earrings (#2). If possible, take them back to the place where they were purchased. If not, any decent jeweler should be able to do it easily and at little cost. Early David Yurman bangle --classic "striped", (I can't think of what that's called) with a little pearl and cabouchon emeralds at the tip ends. I purchased years ago at a jewelry and gem show in Massachusetts at a large convention center. They had jewelry shows there 3 or 4 times a year, I loved going to this show, great prices. Loose beads, sterling silver, gold pieces, stones in settings, stones out of settings.... so much to choose from.
