Loose Oval Diamonds
Q.Count me in. I never sleep in my rings because my fingers swell overnight and the rings are way too tight. I have no trouble getting them off before sleep or on again in the morning but overnight, they completely cut off circulation . I also don't shower/bathe/swim with my rings on and I was petrified the one time I did go snorkeling in Hawaii with my rings on. I figure I don't get soapy residue on the stones that way. I do, however, tend to leave them on for doing the dishes unless the dishes are super greasy. I'm more afraid of accidentally knocking the loose rings into the sink and down the drain.
A.Mine are on even when I shower. I just like wearing them. I'll take them off when I'm cooking turkey dinner, but I left them on yesterday when I was making cookies (wasn't actually kneading any dough). I can't imaging not wearing the whole thing. I've got the small diamond solitaire surrounded by a ruby-diamond wrap (the W-ring), plus the plain white gold undecorated band (the E-ring), and got them soldered together the week before the wedding. I've rarely taken them off since. One good thing about a smaller stone plus a wrap is that it doesn't stick out quite so much; the wrap stuff sort of fills in the sides, and the ring itself isn't as high. So I can't catch it on much. I don't now how people with huge marquis (pointy-oval) cut diamonds can stand it! I'd be afraid it'd catch on everything!
