Q.So if Wildcat isn't the thing, who *is* the best to go to for titanium/niobium jewelry in the UK? Or do I need to resign myself to just ordering some in from the states?
A.I tend to buy from Wildcat when at conventions or when in Brighton but am increasingly frustrated by the time it takes for an order to get processed by post/phone and the fact that they don't do custom jewellery anymore. For custom pieces, I always buy from P.A.U.K. (Piercing Association of the UK who also publish Piercing World magazine - hello Pauline and Brian!) as I have done for many years. Their number is 01203 387396. I also couldn't help noticing the number of other jewellery booths at Dunstable the other weekend (I forget their names - I was real drunk) - I bought a few items from various vendors and am quite impressed with both price and quality (I'm wearing an 8mm*18mm barbell in the tongue right now that I didn't remember buying - I woke up with it in!). I also buy bits and pieces from whatever shops I come across on my travels but am less likely to wear jewellery of an "unknown" source in a healing pierce - I have learned my lessons from the bad old days when we had to send to the states to get any safe jewellery.
