Emerald And Diamond Bracelet
Q.I keep my three basics--Stila Ebony for liner, concealer, and Fade blush--in the little three pan Trish page that came with the All Dolled Up kit (remember that one!). A couple of months ago I took it in my bag when I was going to get a new concealer. When I came home it was nowhere to be found. The cosmetics counter manager at the ladies-who-lunch shop where I was couldn't find it and I just figured it had gone the way of all random things left on the Laura Mercier counter. And I have yet to replace the Fade or the Ebony (for eyeliner I was using one of those ancient Trish face kits--remember those: rectangles that start with a wide band of blush, then two more narrow bands of shadow, then a tiny band of eyeliner?). Today I was getting out a notebook I use for some work and do and lo and behold the old Trish page fell out of it. (I now recall I was carrying my KS messenger bag that day so it must have gotten lodged in the notebook.) So all of you who have lost things. did you ever find you nine pan?
A.case it's relevant, I should mention here that I am the patron saint of lost jewelry. I have lost, for as long as two years, and then found: 1) a pair of mikimoto pearl studs (MIA for about two years, found tucked in pocket of rarely used suitcase) 2) one of the studs from the Tiffany pair that replaced them (now I have two pairs of pearl studs.) (Miraculously found in the swimming pool by the lifeguard and held for me--took about a month.) 3) emerald and diamond tennis bracelet (missing for about a year; turned up at my father's.) 4) emerald and diamond heirloom ring (missing about two weeks, given up for lost, found in bottom of Brooks Brothers shopping bag on the way to the dumpster--heard something rattling and checked. Fainted.) 5) strand of pearls--this was my latest. (Fell out of some bag or something that I had packed them in to keep them from scratching.) Send donations of bath and body products, preferably food scented, and I will direct my miraculous jewelry-finding vibes at your lost goodies.
