I got new non-diamond earrings
Q.Supavadee is getting new DIAMOND earrings. So there! Round brilliant cut, half carat each, gold wreath mounts with screw-on posts, color F, quality VVS2, a little fluorescence. She's also getting a Motorola Star Tek phone with 500 minutes and we picked out a cherry wood curio cabinet from Ashley's home center for the transition area between the living room and the dining room. Now all I have to do is figure out how to pay for all of it. Any comments ???
A.You are smart for getting the screw on mounts. My Wife lost one of her Diamond earrings because I didn't get that kind of mount. Never found it and it was a half carat. No the screw posts I'm talking about are different. They go with pierced ears. The screw part is attached to the earring, it goes through the hole in the ear lobe and then a little metal doodad screws onto the post from the back or head side of the ear lobe. It's rather like a nut and bolt put together, except with an ear lobe in the middle.I remember my mother wearing those things you're talking about. I also remember her losing one every three and a half minutes. Knowing who makes them? I can't help you with that. I don't wear earrings, so I'm not into that sort of earring lore. I remember that Kresges sold a lot of them. I saw my mother taking the cardboard with the earrings attached from a miniature carousel for her inspection and perusal. Invariably the damned things would fall off the card. I'm thinking to myself "If they fall off that, why do you think you'll have any better luck with your ears?" Naturally, I didn't say anything. I would have been looking for my teeth.
