Diamond Heart Pendant Necklace.
Q.I had forgotten that heart necklace. There were rhinestone knockoffs everywhere. But wasn't that Arlene Francis that wore it?
A.A heart within a circle, suspended within (meaning not hanging below) three strands of pearls. Maybe four. The "pendant" if you could call it that, was about the size of a fifty-cent piece (remember those, folks?). Probably a bit smaller, but not as small as a quarter. To my eyes it looked somewhat modest (albeit in diamonds, I think--I couldn't tell even on the faaaaabulous 35-incher we possess) and would have looked better without the pearls. But then I didn't pay that much attention, just said to myself, "Oh, yeah, those nice people in alt.showbiz mentioned that thingie. How about that, there it is!" Perhaps she, Kitty, had a heart necklace, and Arlene had another one? I must say I never like Kitty's choice in clothes. I think she, as most of the people did have on these shows, had terrible taste. I'd put the necklace in that category, regardless of its near-legendary status.
