Diamond Cut Necklace .
Q.How do I know what kind of chain to buy in order to make those trendy rosary necklaces? Is there a certain kind (pattern) which is most favorable to being cut and attached to jump rings?
A.I had what's called a "snake" chain made for my jade piece. It's very solid and virtually unbreakable. It's more or less completely cylindrical and about 1/16 of an inch in diameter, and it flexes kind of like a snake. If you're not allergic to silver, it can easily be found at silver shops or booths. Just a warning though, necklaces are designed to break at the circular jump ring when you apply enough pressure. You know, just in case the necklace gets caught (like in a mugger's hand) and you'd rather lose the necklace and not your life. i'm looking hard for a curb link chain...a plain one!! none of that diamond cut doodah for me..and i have found a few...very few...at QVC. If it doesn't work out, get someone to custom-make a necklace of titanium for you. Titanium is good, it's extremely light, doesn't tarnished, strong and it doesn't caused rashes but it will burn a hole in your pocket. You can only get it in one color: Grey or highly polished grey. If titanium necklace is beyond your budget, oh well, you can always wear metal wire around your neck.
