Diamond necklace.
Q.What do they call the "current" diamond necklaces they have out - not just a solitaire type, but a diamond which is surrounded in a circle of 14 K gold or platinum - does anyone know?? That's what I am "thnking" about having my husband "surpise" me with for Christmas .

At the time it was the most asuome diamond necklace in the world. or maybe she yanked it of and tossed i in the mote to piss off the king I think you might mean bezel set - it would be a single diamond set not in 4 or 6 prongs, but in gold or platinum setting that surrounds the edge of the diamond (which would have to be round, or brilliant, cut). If the gold/platinum is wrapped around the stone - no prongs - it's called a bezel setting.
