Adjustable Toe Ring, Stupid Toe Ring question ?
Q.I just went to toejam.net and was looking at their toe rings. Where on your toe are you supposed to wear the ring--near the base of your toe or in the middle where the joint is??
A.I kept trying to keep mine pushed back near the base of my toe but found it more comfortable up toward the tip. This also allowed the ring more visibility with more types of shoe, and less interference. Actually St.., your question is not stupid at all! After researching this simply because I started selling toe rings, I have come to this conclusion. Most people wear them on the toe next to their big toe. Most folks call this the ring or index toe at it's usually the longest and shows your ring off with many shoes or sandals. This is the most comfortable place because of the space between this toe and the big toe allows many different thickneses and styles to be worn without discomfort. Toe rings are worn between the end or pad of the toe and the knuckle. I tried wearing my first ring at the base and found it to always end up there anyway! Allot of people also wear toe rings on the third toe. If your like me and wear two rings on each foot, I use the index and the one next to the pinky or little toe. Two rings next to each other just don't look right. I also found that sized toe rings or full circle rings are the way to go if sized properly. Properly sized high quality toe rings can be worn 24 hours a day all year long even be comfortable under shoes. Sizing toes can be a painfull experience as you have to get past the pad of your toe to get the correct size. I always use a solid sizer with some lubriderm over the pad. This allows you to get the sizer past the pad but sometimes you usually end up sizing it just past the point where it's not too painfull to put on past the pad. This sometimes ends up in a ring thats too loose at the knuckle. I just ordered an adjustable sizer for my clients. This sort of looks like a cable tie only it does not lock and has numbers on it. A sized toe ring not only looks better but is usually better made. Sized rings will NOT fall off! Once you have sized ring that fits great, you can easily go anywhere to get them and get a perfect fit! I have an eternal ring set of CZ diamonds on one and CZ white and emeralds on the other together on my right index toe. I have another gold ring with 7 CZ diamonds on the other index toe. They are actually regular rings not toe rings but fit me perfectly. I also have 2 silver rings I wear on the 2nd little toe on each foot. The silver ones are adjustable. Adjustable toe rings are the most common and although the price seems right they always have their drawbacks. One is that they you have to break them in. By that I mean they will pinch you in the begining and you really have to keep an eye on them adjusting them until they fit right. If you like to take them off here and there they can eventually break. This is why sized rings of any kind are better. Most people only wear one ring on each foot but I really like 2! Gets more attention especially after a french pedicure! Pretty feet is a wonderfull thing! Especially in the summer time! A nice looking pair of feet and toes tell's other people that you take care of yourself and may get you some compliments as well no matter if your a guy or a girl! (We know about Jamie!
