Source of 6g, 1/2" SSS rings,sell jewelry?
Q.Since I've been unable to locate 1/2 6g SSS rings at the places that sell body jewelry in Chicago, I suppose they must not be very common. Could anyone suggest a source? I'd prefer rings that taper somewhat at the ends, as my current rings are from Rings & Things , have a short, dull taper at each end and the hematite beads are only slightly larger in diameter than the ring itself. I'd prefer to maintain the same style if possible but would appreciate knowing of anyplace that carry the size regardless of style.
A.As the gauge increases, the difficulty of forming tight rings increases. I imagine a ring made of fully-annealed wire would more readily form a small ring, but you'd have to ask a manufacturer who deals in annealed rings.
