Q.what's the most expensive jewelry you've ever bought, and do you still like it? Why would you choose expensive jewelry over not-so-expensive jewelry

A.Most of my jewelry is 22K-23K gold. I usually wear a gold chain, two gold bangles - one on each hand, and a ring. I do have a ring that I got at my we*ding, but it is not a we*ding ring. We don't exchange rings in the traditional Hindu we*ding, instead there is another piece of jewelry that women wear to symbolize their marriage. (Traditionally men don't get anything - but that is changing.) And that jewelry differs from what region you come from. So, I wear a gold bangle (with a metal piece inside) on the left hand - this is from Dh's side of the family. And it is always worn on the left (I guess similar to the we*ding ring). And then I wear a gold bangle on my right hand given to me by my side of the family. This one has tiny flowers and leaves done in red and green gemstones. I have lots of gold chains, so I usually alternate with these. I haven't bought any jewelry for myself yet, all of it has been given to me as gifts. And most of it I got at my we*ding. I inherited my GrandMa's (paternal) ruby earrings and pearl earrings. My mother-in-law gave me lots of the jewelry she got at her we*ding from her mother and mother-in-law. Last year when she came to visit us, she brought me a lovely diamond and pearl choker that had been her mother's. I don't get to wear most of my expensive jewelry - as they would not suit for everyday wear (like I can't wear my we*ding sets with skirts/pants - they would look just right with a sari...). So they stay in the safe deposit box mostly...
